A cracking dusky thrush

that performed very well for the hundreds of birders

trumpeter finch

cley ,Norfolk . I was on my own and it was quite a drive but well worth it . This was the 3rd day it was there and very glade it stayed.

The location was Cambridge , paxton pits . The photos were best I could get but I had some great views through someones scope. Its looks like I jammed in on this one ,I went straight after work and it was only there for two days. ( life tick 287 )

After a 1 hour wait I was rewarded with some flight veiws , Also 2 little gulls , curlew sand ,knot,redshank,dunlin,brent goose,singing corn bunting.

And last but not least 2 common cranes at Horsey whilst driving

lesser kestral

A lesser kestral was found in suffolk at the weekend and on the tuesday I was working in colchester 50 mins away , i finished early and was there by 3pm . 15 mins later tick 275 was in the bag and it was a mega ! . I shot to kessingland beach for a pallid swift but dipped you cant win them all.

A two tick day for me green heron and desert wheatear.
The heron showed well with some photos to be had.

boozy birders tour 2008 scillys

A great time birding 15 new birds in fact .
day 1 dottrel as we landed in the plane.
followed by red eyed verio , american golden plover , lapland bunting .
day 2 yellow browed warbler , blackpoll warbler .
day 3 whooper swan , pectoral sandpiper , golden pheasant , raddes warbler .
day 4 crossbill , olive backed pipit , red breasted flycatcher , sociable lapwing .
day 5 cirl bunting .
