A morning walk over the patch produced 20 redpoll and 2 wockcock this morning which was another few ticks on my year list . Then later a walk on southend sea front with my family and the dog I thought maybe rossi would be there . Yes there it was also a red breasted merganser a cracking male and some great veiws .

an afternoon on the essex coast

I started of at abberton res in the warmth of my van I got on 4 bewick swans , then moved on to southend to see if rossi was about . I timed just right as the tide was just coming in and soon so did rossi , it also pushed the waders in with some great opportunities to take some photos .
