great white egret

I got news of a great white egret over rainham marshes whilst at work . And decided to it was a must as it was a life tick and it was local .

I got there about 7pm, thanks to paul hawkins I gained entry to the reserve and soon got on the bird.

We had some fantastic views and some distant photos but a great eve birding .

Due to hearing about all the mega's at the weekend and not getting out ! Early Monday morning before work I decided have a walk over lea valley . I heard a nightingale singing and soon got a couple of shots .

Whilst walking along other birds dropped into view and quickly got snapped with the camera .
