the first signs of spring

On the patch this weekend , a few new spring arrivals being chiff chaff , wren with nesting material , blue tits looking for appropriate nests . And a local fox .

march highlights

It was Saturday 6th and firecrest was on the cards at hockley woods got there at 1.30pm wsw of the car park I was told, off I walked 30 mins later success 5 big holly bushes 2 firecrest and a few record shots of some cracking little birds .

and a robin that didn't have any leaves in front of it.

Febuary highlights

It was the 14th I meet Shaun at the girling walthamstow where we see a black throated diver , g n diver , black necked grebe then info of a local dusky warbler but no sign when we arrived.the next day its was confirmed .I think its was the Thursday before I had a chance to get back and glad I did as it was a life tick and i bagged it .

also see chiffchaff , goldcrest then onto fishers green for bitten which was a very successful including waterail , little grebe and bitten .

On the 20th I and had 5 buzzard over the garden ,7 stock dove on the patch.
