your first wheatear of the year

I think every one gets buzz from there first wheatear of the year and for me this was nearest I've been to one so a little more special The closer the bird the better the photo !! 

 As for black redstarts another cracking bird

 There is 3 at ferry lane , rainham

 This female was the first I photographed .

Then there are stonechats not sure which bird I would choose as a favourite ?

 Then another female black redstart

 And finally the male black redstart

 the pick of the bunch this afternoon . 

 oh and a rat enjoying a break in the weather.

grey wagtail

 I been lucky this week I see hawfinch at bramfield , herts

 no chance of any photos but not bad views

 also I have been visiting the local sewage works for a while where there is a small stream which the waste water runs into and today it paid off with this cracking grey wagtail

 and to finish it off 3 black redstart at rainham again no chance of photos but you cant complain .
